Information Security Guidelines for Mobile Phone Users

Today’s mobile phone is a versatile terminal, with e.g. office applications, where various services, programs, and games can be downloaded.

For now, threats against mobile phones are minor compared to those against fixed networks and computers. However, similar to computers, mobile phones can be protected against malware infections.

Three steps towards information security:
  1. Do not press the Yes button on your mobile phone unless you are sure of the consequences.
  2. Destroy any MMS messages from unknown senders without opening them.
  3. If a device unknown to you tries to establish a Bluetooth connection, move a couple of tens of metres away from where you are: it will be disconnected immediately.
