Broadcasting fee introduced on 1 January 2012

The presidents of government parties have reached a unanimous view on the removal of the current television fee at the end of 2011. From early 2012, a household-specific broadcasting fee will be collected by the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA). The authority will continue the preparations for implementing the changes the new practice brings along.

The current TV fee system will remain unchanged until the end of 2011. Television fee customers will be informed of eventual changes and their effects separately e.g. by means of letters attached to TV fee invoices. Customers are recommended to check what has been written about TV fees on our websites.
