The number of valid television fees totalled 1,916,256 at the end of December 2008, which is 30,700 less than a year ago. The majority of television fees terminated last year and the year before resulted from the digital switch-over. The number of television fees has slowly risen during the summer and fall of 2008, with the exception of December when there were a couple of thousand less television fee payers than in November.
