11.08.2008 Television fees to be raised 1 January 2009
The Finnish Government has decided to raise the television fee by 4.1 per cent. The new price is valid from the beginning of the year 2009. The raise in the fee is based on a comprehensive solution suggested in 2004 by the parliamentary working group "Television operations and the Finnish Broadcasting Company 2010". The suggested solution aims at ensuring funding for the Finnish Broadcasting Company until 2010.
