Renewal of fi-domain names

According to present legislation, fi-domain names are valid for three years and 31 August was the deadline for domain names granted prior to 1 September 2003. If a domain name was not renewed within the deadline, the internet address of the website will not be valid and e-mail under the root .fi will not come through.

Former holders can apply for the domain name again three months after the validity period has expired. Domain names can be applied for with FICORA's domain name service at https://domain.ficora.fi where it reads "Applying for a domain name after validity period". (1.9.)
