04.01.2011 Common data transmission and D-GPS channels subject to licence throughout FinlandThis Notice replaces earlier Notices with the same name. The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA) follows the principles mentioned below when granting licences for common channels allocated to trade and industry: Common channels by frequency band (tx=Rx):
A radio licence must be acquired from the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority for the use of the radio transmitters operating in these channels. Principles- The channels are intended only for communication in connection with carrying on a profession or trade and business - These channels are granted for use throuhgout Finland, all channels in the group, by group (1, 2 or 3) - A radio transmitter’s conformity to requirements must be assessed as laid down in the Act on Radio Frequencies and Telecommunications Equipment (1015/2001), in other words in Directive 1999/5/EC. The transmitter must bear the CE marking and be accompanied with the manufacturer's declaration of conformity. Group 1- the channels are in common use and are allowed only for data transmission, including transmission of the D-GPS correction signal; - these channels are allowed only for mobile transmitters; and - the radiated power of the radio transmitters operating in these channels must not exceed 0.5 W (ERP) and the channel width is 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz. Group 2- the channels are in common use and are allowed only for transmitting the D-GPS correction signal and for demonstration of data transmission systems; - these channels are allowed only for mobile D-GPS transmitters; and - the radiated power of the radio transmitters operating in these channels must not exceed 10 W (ERP) and the channel width is 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz. Group 3- the channels are in common use and are allowed only for data transmission, including transmission of the D-GPS correction signal; - these channels are allowed only for mobile transmitters; and - the radiated power of the radio transmitters operating in these channels must not exceed 10 W (ERP) and the channel width is 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz.
