25.03.2009 Common channels subject to licence and allocated to trade and industry throughout FinlandThis Notice replaces earlier Notices with the same name. The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA) follows the principles mentioned below when granting licences for common channels allocated to trade and industry: Common channels by frequency band (Tx=Rx):
A radio licence must be acquired from the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority for the use of the radio transmitters operating in these channels. Principles
-The channels are intended only for communications in connection with the carrying on of a profession or trade and business - The applicant for a licence is granted the right to use these channels throughout Finland - The licence is granted for all channels, by area (area 2, 3, 4 or 5) - The channels are in common use and allowed exclusively for speech transmission - These channels are allowed only for mobile radio telephones - The radiated power of the radio transmitters operating in these channels must not exceed 5 W (ERP) - The channel width is 12.5 kHz in the frequency band 150 MHz (area 2), in other frequency bands it is 25 kHz - A radio transmitter’s conformity to requirements must be assessed as laid down in the Act on Radio Frequencies and Telecommunications Equipment (1015/2001), in other words in Directive 1999/5/EC. The transmitter must bear the CE marking and be accompanied with the manufacturer's declaration of conformity.
