29.01.2006 Common channels subject to licence and allocated to trade and industry in entire FinlandThis Announcement replaces the announcement of 2 April 2002. The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA) follows the principles mentioned below when granting licences for common channels allocated to trade and industry: Common channels by frequency band (Tx=Rx):
A radio licence shall be acquired from the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority for the use of the radio transmitters operating in these channels. Principles -The channels are intended only for communications in connection with the carrying on of a profession or trade and business, the channels of area 1 and 1b may also be used for hobby activities, - The applicant for a licence is granted the right to use these channels in the whole of Finland, - The channels are in common use and allowed exclusively for speech transmission, - These channels are allowed exclusively for mobile radiotelephones, - The radiated power of the radiotelephones operating in these channels shall not exceed 5 W (ERP), the maximum radiated power is 25 W (ERP) of the channels of area 1 b; the channels of area 1b must not be used closer than at a distance of 10 kilometres from the borders of Russia, Sweden and Norway. The frequency 67.500 MHz must not be used closer than at a distance of 50 kilometres from the borders of Sweden and Norway, nor closer than at a distance of 100 kilometres from the television broadcasting station at Vuokatti, - The channel separation is 12.5 kHz in the frequency band 150 MHz (area 2), in other frequency bands it is 25 kHz, - A radio transmitter’s conformity to requirements shall either be assessed as laid down in the Act on Radio Frequencies and Telecommunications Equipment (1015/2001), in other words in Directive 1999/5/EC, or nationally type approved before the entry into force of the Directive. A piece of equipment complying with the essential requirements of the Directive can be recognised by the marking CE and by the manufacturer’s declaration of conformity accompanying the documents. If a Notified Body has been used when assessing the conformity to requirements, the marking is CE xxxx, xxxx being the four-digit identification number of the Notified Body. If the conformity to requirements is not made sure in a relevant way, no licence can be granted for the use and possession of the radio transmitter.
