Radio interference
Investigation of radio interference cases is based on complaints received.
Radio Inspection Division monitors radiocommunication and investigates cases of radio interference. The frequency planning and the radio inspection personnel co-operate when clarifying radio interference. Expertise in evaluating the technical requirements on radio equipment supports this work. Experience in settling interference problems is, in turn, utilized both in frequency planning and in evaluating the need for change in technical requirements.
The equipment market is monitored in order to ensure that consumers will get only radio and telecommunications terminal equipment that complies with requirements and that is suitable to be used in connection with other types of radio and telecommunications. Equipment that does not meet the requirements may be disturbed or cause interference in radio and telecommunications.
