Licences were granted on 17 December 2009

The Government has granted the auction winners licences for the 2.6 GHz spectrum band. The licences are valid from 17 December 2009 to 16 December 2029.

FICORA will collect he licence fees and grant frequency reservations and radio licences.

Spectrum auction concluded

The spectrum auction held by FICORA was concluded on Monday 23 November 2009. The auction run for 5 days and it had 27 bidding rounds.

The winning parties regarding the spectrum for FDD were Elisa Oyj (50MHz), TeliaSonera Finland Oyj (50MHz) and DNA Oy (40MHz). The winner of the 50MHz spectrum for TDD was Pirkanmaan Verkko Oy. Total revenue of the auction was 3.797.800 euros

Registrations for auction by 7 October 2009
Licenses for the 2500-2690 Mhz band will be issued at an auction in November 2009. The auction is planned to start on 17 November 2009.

Auction participants must register in writing by filling in the registration form. Registrations must be submitted to FICORA by Wednesday, 7 October 2009 at 4.15 p.m. FICORA's Regulation 60 will provide further details on registration.

The conditions for licenses to be auctioned are available in the notification of license application.

FICORA has published technical radio license conditions regarding the frequency range.

Public consultation on the Regulation on the Spectrum Auction and on technical conditions of the radio license

FICORA has issued a draft regulation on auction rules and technical conditions of the radio license. Interested parties are invited to give their views on the draft measures. Written contributions must be submitted no later than 14 August 2009 to kirjaamo@ficora.fi
