Mobile Network Codes (MNC)
Mobile Network Codes (MNC) are used in accordance with GSM standards to identify a mobile operator in, for example, the signalling between a base station and a mobile station, and to indicate a mobile operator in base station identification (Cell Global Identification).

Network Colour Codes (NCC)
Network Colour Codes (NCC) are used in accordance with GSM standards in Base Station Identity Codes in the signalling between a mobile station and a base station. The codes are used to discriminate between mobile operators of different countries in the traffic in border areas where the frequency ranges of these operators may overlap.
The use of NCC-codes is defined in the numbering regulation (FICORA 32).
TETRA mobile network codes
TETRA mobile networks codes, (T)MNC are used to identify an operator in a mobile network complying with TETRA standards.
