Frequency fees of radio equipment
A frequency fee is collected on radio licences granted by the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority. The frequency fee is defined according to the usability of the frequencies in the radio licence. With this fee we also try to make the use of frequencies more efficient. By valuing the frequency bands differently the use of radio transmitters is directed to frequencies which are less congested.
A frequency fee is also collected on frequency reservations. For short-term radio licences the frequency fee is calculated based on how long the frequencies are used. However, the charge is at least one quarter of the annual frequency fee, and no less than €18.
